Best Fights - Vs Street Fighters

STREET LEVEL FIGHTERS

What are Batman's best versus battles against street level fighters of all time? My picks of Batman's greatest fights against street level combatants that were more evenly matched in no ranking order.

Despite being younger and still a rookie Dark Knight at the time he proves to be evenly matched with the original Earth 2 Batman who's an older and more experienced version of himself from an alternate reality/earth. Both display unique martial arts skill and knowledge against one another that no one else besides them should know about (Batman Superman #2)

Showcasing his skill in vast martial arts styles, he battles his evil counterpart aka The Wrath (student of the original Wrath) to a stalemate but has a slight upper hand. To his credit, Batman does acknowledge The Wrath as being better then his mentor before The Wrath manages to narrowly get away (Batman Confidential #14)

Vs Red Hood

Not knowing who he was at the time, he fought Red Hood/Jason Todd his 2nd sidekick roughly to a bloody and brutal stalemate when Jason first came back from the dead

- How the fight originally played out (Batman #635)

Has a prolonged brutal and bloody battle with Nightwing/Dick Grayson his original protégé in a test of his combat ability but concedes the fight to him once Dick gets the upper hand which passes his test (Nightwing #30)

legendsdk136-batvpriest1.jpglegendsdk136-batvpriest2.jpglegendsdk136-batvpriest3.jpglegendsdk136-batvpriest4.jpglegendsdk136-batvpriest5.jpg

A younger Batman fights evenly against a high level martial arts combatant known as Master Haim who is one of only 7 martial artists in the world to master the lethal Hungry Cobra Death Strike. We see that Haim is able to land the Hungry Cobra Death Strike technique against Batman but is unsuccessful in killing him due to Batman having full knowledge of the technique and knowing exacting how to counter it which gives Batman the opening to secure the victory (Legends of the Dark Knight #131)

Has a back and forth/cat and mouse like battle with the world's best marksman and one of the most deadly assassins known as Deadshot (who also trained under David Cain just like Batman). The only reason Deadshot is defeated here is due to Batman using a very clever, unique, and skilled indirect trickshot of his own using his batarang that Deadshot wasn't expecting outsmarting him in the end (Batman #369)

Fights his former childhood best friend Hush aka Tommy Elliot in melee combat who in the end gets the upper hand due to cleverly weaponizing his batmobile against him (Batman #619)

Fights Catman (who's proven to be good enough to fight even Bronze Tiger in a brutal fight roughly to a draw) to a stalemate although its Catman who concedes to Batman ending their battle once Batman starts getting the upper hand and his mission is completed (Secret Six #2)

Vs Bane (without venom)

Despite Bane retaining most of his super human strength (according to Batman's words which aren't refuted by Bane) since being off the Venom enhancement drug, Batman still manages to get the better of him but the fight isn't finished because Bane forces the Dark Knight to choose between continuing the battle or saving innocents from a bomb with Batman obviously choosing the latter (Detective Comics #736)

Defeats Bane in melee combat who almost succeeded in drowning Batman (Detective Comics #701)

Defeats his former sensei Tsunetomo in an impressive martial arts battle and even catches Tsunetomo's sword just as he was about to finish off Batman who turns the battle around in his favor at the last moment  (Detective Comics Annual #3)

Vs Ra's Al Ghul

Fights Ra's Al Ghul to a stalemate who stabs him with his sword causing him to bleed out before their battle is broken up by Talia (Batman The Chalice)

batmanchalice-batvdemonhead1.jpgbatmanchalice-batvdemonhead2.jpgbatmanchalice-batvdemonhead3.jpgbatmanchalice-batvdemonhead4.jpgbatmanchalice-batvdemonhead5.jpgbatmanchalice-batvdemonhead6.jpg

While wearing the suit of sorrows, he battles a newly revived Ra's Al Ghul (who just did a body transfer) to a stalemate in a sword fight although its the Demon's Head who has the slight upper hand in their battle (Detective Comics #839)

detective839-batmanvdemonhead1.jpgdetective839-batmanvdemonhead2.jpgdetective839-batmanvdemonhead3.jpgdetective839-batmanvdemonhead4.jpgdetective839-batmanvdemonhead5.jpgdetective839-batmanvdemonhead6.jpgdetective839-batmanvdemonhead7.jpgdetective839-batmanvdemonhead8.jpgdetective839-batmanvdemonhead9.jpgdetective839-batmanvdemonhead10.jpg

A very physically sick Batman fights Ra's Al Ghul (who is without his normal lazarus pit boost that keeps him younger) roughly to a stalemate. In this battle we see both get badly burned and Bruce is even impaled by Ra's with a shovel in the chest and thinks he's killed Bruce only for Bruce to still being shown to with enough strength to get up and wrestle Ra's into the nearest Lazarus Pit which saves both their lives plus heals him (Batman: Birth of the Demon)

birthofdemon-batvdemonhead1.jpgbirthofdemon-batvdemonhead2.jpgbirthofdemon-batvdemonhead3.jpgbirthofdemon-batvdemonhead4.jpgbirthofdemon-batvdemonhead5.jpgbirthofdemon-batvdemonhead6.jpgbirthofdemon-batvdemonhead7.jpgbirthofdemon-batvdemonhead8.jpgbirthofdemon-batvdemonhead9.jpgbirthofdemon-batvdemonhead10.jpgbirthofdemon-batvdemonhead11.jpgbirthofdemon-batvdemonhead12.jpgbirthofdemon-batvdemonhead13.jpg

In a test of skill, he does quite well against nigh unbeatable and nearly untouchable martial arts master known as The Sensei without being beaten that ends with him landing a punch that doesn't draw blood (due to Sensei's perfect control over his own body) while The Sensei's attack does draw blood showing the clear difference in martial arts mastery between them which is further proved in the last image when The Sensei displays rare techniques that not even Batman has mastered (Batman Odyssey v2 #3)

Despite being ambushed and inexperienced in anti-gravity martial arts, he battles Karate Kid (Post-Crisis version) to a inconclusive stalemate by impressively adapting fast to Karate Kid's style of fighting (Brave and the Bold #5)
