The Batcomputer

 The Batcomputer

How advanced is Batman's Batcomputer and what is it capable of? Showcasing feats of Batman's Batcomputer that highlight just how powerful and useful it is to Batman.

The Batcomputer has 5 super computers rolled into one as noted by Robin (see the text underlined in blue - Robin #100)

TRACKING

Has something called Bata-Mining software installed on his computer that he used to track down Mad Hatter's assets plus his kidnapped victims (The Dark Knight v2 #17)

thedarkknight17-batamining.jpg

Alfred mentions that his data-mining software is the fastest in the world and uses it to quickly find several locations of where Clayface could be which later proved to be accurate having found Clayface based on the data-mining information used (The Dark Knight v2 #25)

thedarkknight25-datamining.jpg

Can follow a cypher trace back to its source (Batman Eternal #14)

batmaneternal14-cyphertrace.jpg

The Batcomputer hides its real phone signal location and redirects it's location randomly to a different one in the world to protect Batman's real location from being discovered (Batman/Green Arrow: The Poison Tomorrow)

batgaposiontomorrow-maskaddress.jpg

Has a program that monitors the dark web for special activity and alerts him when something major is about to happen (Batman v3 #86)

batman86-darkwebalert.jpg

His super computer tracks all crime in Gotham that looks for and alerts him when their is a connection made (Let Them Live: Unpublished Tales from the DC Vault #3)

letlivedcvault3-crimeprogram.jpg

Can tap into every security camera in Gotham through his super computer mainframe plus program it to track down a person based on how they move, their personal profile, and more (Batman & Robin v2 #5)

batmanrobin5-batcameras.jpg

Seemingly has a better tracking system than even the Justice League's system (Action Comics v2 #52)

action52-battracking.jpg

His computer systems are able to detect how many super powered beings are in the world and track them down for him impressing even Superman (Justice League: A Midsummer's Nightmare #2)

jlmidsummer2-batracking1.jpgjlmidsummer2-batracking2.jpg

Able to track Brainiac's signal back to a satellite that's close to Mars (Superman Batman #35)

CRIME SOLVING & DNA ID Programs

Has advanced holographic tech on his main computer that Batgirl uses to recreate surveillance video footage (Batman Eternal #4)

batmaneternal4-holofootagerecreation.jpg

Quickly identifies a person based off a piece of hair left behind plus what the chemicals are on the hair (Detective Comics #1019)

detective1019-dnasample.jpg

Can identify a person through DNA via his computer database being linked to federal and international databases (The Creeper #3 2006)

thecreeper3-dnadatabase1.jpgthecreeper3-dnadatabase2.jpg

Using his advanced DNA profiling tech to correctly link the blood leftover on his batarang to Clayface (who morphed/shape-shifted into someone else) despite the traces being deteriorated (Batman v2 #19)

batman19-clayfacedna.jpgbatman19-clayfacedna2.jpg

Using his 3D holographic tech to scan an older Superman's body to confirm that he truly is Superman proving to be both a DNA and vocal match to the present day Superman (Superman Batman #2)

supermanbatman2-dnabodyscanner.jpg

Has a blood toxicity scanner that can detect even nano-bot tech hidden in the body (Detective Comics #978)

detective978-nanotech.jpg

Able to identify 4 different henchmen of Two-Face based off blood analysis that was left behind at the crime scene. In addition, the computer reveals they all have terminal illnesses and Batman also uses facial recog programming to locate their most recent previous whereabouts in order to track them down (Detective Comics #1021)

detective1021-idtrackingprogram.jpg

Has Anatomical Reconstruction programs that recreate the decomposed bodies of Zsasz's victims so he can identify them (Detective Comics v2 #19)

detective19-reconstructionprogram1.jpgdetective19-reconstructionprogram2.jpg

Can very accurately recreate a human face from just a left over skull (Detective Comics #783)

detective783-facereconstruction.jpg

Has advanced simulation tech that allows him to analyze and slow down explosions so he find out what caused them (Detective Comics #749)

detective749-explosionanaylsis.jpg

SENSORS/Monitoring

Has access to cam footage recorded by his fellow Justice League members to recall previous cases, events, and threats they've encountered (Green Arrow #5 2001)

greenarrow5-jlacasefootage.jpg

nightwing103-deadmansensor.jpg

Has a program setup to detect any magical level activity going on in Gotham (Gotham City Sirens #16)

gothamsirens16-magicsensor.jpg

Internet 3.0

His Internet 3.0 tech is very similar to the Matrix which can simulate real life with near perfect accuracy to the point where you can barely tell the difference (Batman Incorporated #8)

batmaninc8-internet3.0.jpg

Showcasing just how highly advanced his Internet 3.0 simulation tech is which re-creates the events that led up to Robin's death and displays a different outcome of what might have happened if they had managed to save Robin's life (Batman & Nightwing #23/Batman & Robin v2 #23)

batmanrobin23-internet3.0sim1.jpgbatmanrobin23-internet3.0sim2.jpgbatmanrobin23-internet3.0sim3.jpgbatmanrobin23-internet3.0sim4.jpgbatmanrobin23-internet3.0sim5.jpgbatmanrobin23-internet3.0sim6.jpgbatmanrobin23-internet3.0sim7.jpg

Alfred is shown using the Internet 3.0 technology to disarm Cyborg and prevent his internal security system from activating by re-creating a joyful event in his life to put him at ease (Batman & Robin v2 #35)

batmanrobin35-internet3.0cyborg1.jpgbatmanrobin35-internet3.0cyborg2.jpg

To be prepared for every possible eventuality (past, present and future) he has an advanced computer system able to run various simulations of possible scenarios (Superman Batman #63 - check the rest of the issue to see one of these simulations playing out)

supermanbatman63-scenariosimulation1.jpgsupermanbatman63-scenariosimulation2.jpg

We learn that every year for his birthday he uses an advanced computer system (that he upgrades every year) to simulate extreme scenarios to prepare himself for things he may not see coming and to keep his overall skillset sharp for his mission. This kind of training actually seems to work since the number of innocents killed in Gotham has gone down every year since he's been using this program (Detective Comics #999 - check the rest of the issue and the previous ones in the same story arc to see how these simulations play out)

detective999-simulationworld1.jpgdetective999-simulationworld2.jpgdetective999-simulationworld3.jpgdetective999-simulationworld4.jpg

Hacking Defenses

Not even a hyper intelligent Bizarro is able to penetrate the Batcave's computer defense systems neither is he able to monitor who or what's inside the Batcave since Batman has built up the Batcave to become one of the most technologically secure locations in the world (Red Hood and the Outlaws #19)

redhoodoutlaws19-batcavedefenses1.jpgredhoodoutlaws19-batcavedefenses2.jpgredhoodoutlaws19-batcavedefenses3.jpg

Showcasing his computer's advanced defense system we see that even Cyborg is unable to gain access to his computer's mainframe which is quite impressive given Cyborg's technopathy ability that normally allows Cyborg easy access inside any computer on earth (Justice League of America v4 #2)
